In obedience to God's Word and in response to the ravaging poverty, unemployment, homelessness, hunger, poor health and sanitation tormenting not only Church members but humans as a whole, Eternal Word Ministries has developed a helps department called Helps International (HINT) in a bid to practically demonstrate the love of God to those in need.

HINT functions through three main program areas as follows:

Direct Aid Programs (DAPs):

1. Micro-credit for very poor youths for business start-ups (on-going). Training in basic business management skills precedes establishment of businesses.

2. Child sponsorship (education, clothing, health care for children from desperately poor families) (on-going)

3. Orphan sponsorship, especially those orphaned by AIDS (on-going)

4. University Scholarship Help Fund (we help selected poor High  School graduates to attend university).

Capacity Building Programs (CBPs):

1. Training in computers and ICTs (on-going).

2. Training in carpentry (to be started).

3. Training in tailoring (to be started).

4. Training in agriculture skills (to be started).

5. Training young entrepreneurs in basic business management skills (to be started).

Community Development Projects (CDPs):

1. AIDS education in schools (we are about to publish a booklet on AIDS to be handed out to every student in Cameroon, as funding is available) (on-going).

2. Digging wells (to be started).

3. Health Care Units (to be started).

4. Primary Schools for poor children (to be started).

5. Emergency Relief (available to help when need arises).
